A few hours are enough to knit this little sweetness available for both children and adults (7 sizes for head sizes from 41 to 60,5 cm \/ 16 to 24\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>This hat takes its name from the little sweets from Aix-en-Provence which are among my favourites with their combination of the sweetness of the marzipan with the melon and the crunchiness of the icing. There is a bit of an opposition between the folded jersey border and the body of the brioche hat, but also between the two patterns that are drawn with the syncopated brioche.<\/p>\n<p>Knitted in the round from the bottom to the top, this hat presents very few technical difficulties: a provisional binding off for the brim (but a version with a rolled brim is included), two-coloured brioche in the round and a three-needle folding. A small stitch at the end to form the top, a small pom-pom (templates are included) and that\u2019s it!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sizes: <\/strong>Baby [Toddler, Child, Adult XS] [Adult S, Adult M, Adult L] to fit head circumference of 41 [44, 48, 52] [56, 58.5, 60.5] cm \/ 16 [17.5, 19, 20.5] [22, 23, 24]\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Model wear an Adult M size for a head circumference of 58cm.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yarn:<\/strong> 120 [180, 220, 250] [260, 280, 320] m \/ 132 [197, 241, 273] [285, 306, 350] yds of (heavy) fingering yarn (380 to 437 m for 100 g) with : 75 [110, 130, 140] [145, 165, 170] m \/ 82 [120, 142, 153] [159, 181, 186] yds in the Main Colour (MC) 45 [70, 90, 110] [115, 115, 150] m \/ 49 [77, 98, 120] [126, 126, 165] yds in the Contrasting Colour (CC).<\/p>\n<p><em>Sample hat is worked in Le Chat qui Tricote Doucette (80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon \u2013 400 m \/ 465 yds &amp; 100 g per skein), col. Bonton de rose (pink, MC) and Caf\u00e9 Cr\u00e8me (beige, CC).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Needles and notions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Circular needle, double-pointed needles, or your preferred needles to work in the round:\n<ul>\n<li>1 set of 3.00 mm \/ US #3<\/li>\n<li>2 sets of 3.25 mm \/ US #4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>1 stitch marker<\/li>\n<li>1 small strand of waste yarn<\/li>\n<li>1 tapestry needle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c9chantillon :<\/strong> Stocking Stitch, knitted in the round, after blocking: 26 stitches x 35 rounds Brioche, knitted in the round, after blocking: 22 stitches x 27.5 rounds.<\/p>\n<p><em>Always measure gauges after they have been washed and dried thoroughly.
