The days are getting shorter, the long-awaited cold is slowly returning\u2014that\u2019s it, fall is settling in around here. I’m the first to be thrilled about it, because summer is my least favorite season. Between the sweltering heat\u2014which is often completely overwhelming\u2014the insects that have a field day on our legs and arms, and the nasty sunburn, the only advantages I see are the beautiful nights and the delicious fruit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, there are also delicious fruits in the fall and winter, so that’s not even a valid argument. I don’t know about you, but I had a hard time knitting this summer. With the heat, either the wool would stick to my fingers or my skin would get too dry\u2014in short, it wasn’t pleasant at all! Since the beginning of the year (my year starts the first week of September\u2014it\u2019s always been that way, and I\u2019ve come to terms with it; I\u2019ll tell you more about it later if you\u2019re interested), my knitting mojo has returned, and I\u2019ve already had several projects in progress or finished. A quick photo recap of the past few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From left to right and top to bottom:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The notebooks that will be with me all year long: Hobonichi A5 and A6<\/a> notebooks, a Traveler’s Notebook<\/a>, and a Take a Note Record<\/a> with its very detailed grid, which I use specifically for knitting. I use them for both my daily life and my hobbies\u2014including, among other things, a notebook for keeping track of my tasks, one for knitting, and another for studying Egyptian hieroglyphs, which I took up again this summer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. I bought some Sarica Studio<\/a> inserts (which fit into the Traveler’s Notebook shown in the previous photo) to add a few little things to my order from Journal Blend<\/a>. Oops!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. I’ve finished both volumes of Paul Carta’s *Chronicles Beyond the Threshold*<\/em> (Volume 1<\/a> * | Volume 2<\/a> *). I really enjoyed these two fantasy novels, which follow Khima\u00ef\u2014a crown prince stripped of his rights after a plot against his father\u2014on his quest to regain power. Or, more precisely, in his quest to find his childhood friend, who possesses the knowledge he needs to reclaim the throne. I have to admit that, for once, I was caught off guard by the ending\u2014which I didn’t see coming\u2014which isn’t always the case, even though I was left feeling a little unsatisfied by the final conclusion of these stories. There’s a sequel, but since it doesn’t focus on the same characters, I don’t think I’ll read it… at least not right now.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Je tricote trois mod\u00e8les pour le deuxi\u00e8me num\u00e9ro du magazine TRICOTE<\/a> avec des laines de chez Chandails et Cardigans<\/a>, une d\u00e9couverte pour moi. Le premier est une paire de chaussettes (on ne se refait pas, non 😬) avec un motif comportant de la dentelle, des torsades, et des mailles entour\u00e9es. La premi\u00e8re chaussettes est finie, le patron est en cours de finalisation, et j’ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 h\u00e2te de te montrer cela en d\u00e9tail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The beautiful morning light in the forest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Le deuxi\u00e8me mod\u00e8le est une paire de mitaines (le troisi\u00e8me est encore au stade de brouillon mais arrivera tr\u00e8s vite, je t’en parlerai dans de prochains articles). J’en profite pour utiliser mes marqueurs de mailles trop mignons<\/a> et mes prot\u00e8ges-pointes<\/a> en forme d’adorables tulipes. Les deux sont disponibles dans la boutique<\/a> 😉<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. The ones coming out soon! Everything is almost ready for the release of this new pattern from the Promenades collection. The pattern will be included in the Promenades Tricot\u00e9es Club<\/a> until the next pattern in the Promenades collection is released.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Celles qui me suivent partout. Encore des chaussettes. En-cours depuis des ann\u00e9es car je ne les tricote qu’\u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur \u00e0 raison d’un rang par-ci par-l\u00e0. J’ai commenc\u00e9 le gousset de la premi\u00e8re chaussette. Plus que deux ans et j’aurai fini la paire 😂<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
