Looking back on 2018

by Tisserin Coquet

I wish you a really beautiful and happy new year, filled with joy, health, and obviously a lot of knitting!

2018 has been filled with a lot of pretty yarn and knitting. During these past twelve months, I published four shawl patterns including the beloved Brioche for Teatime and Falling Slowly, my latest shawl design. On the sock side, four different patterns became live this year: Moving Forward and its delicate lace, the June MKAL Levitation Lessons and its leftover focused colorwork, still in colorwork but with only two colours the Jardin à la Française socks have been published in the I Knit Paris book. You can also find my latest sock pattern, Soaked to the Skin, for free on Knotions website. 🎁

2018 was also the first I attended yarn fairs as an exhibitor: this summer at the Estivales de la Laine, in Authon, where I also hosted workshops, and then, at the begining of December at Tric’au Sud, near Valence. I will cherish these days and their happy memories for a long time! Such a pleasure to meet fiber and yarn enthusiasts!

Yet again, I had the great chance to teach and share knitting with you this year in such pretty shops: at Le Chat qui Tricote in Aix-en-Provence, Lanae Tricot in Grenoble, and M’Toinette in Gex! I always loved to teach and share new techniques. New workshop dates are already scheduled, I can’t wait to see you there!

I sincerely hope this year was as amazing to you than to me and I can’t wait to share the new one with you! ✨
