Today is Tisserin Coquet 5th birthday and I’d like to thank you all for your support and love during this amazing journey.
It takes a village to raise a child, but the saying could also apply to pattern writing. Publishing a new knitting pattern involves a lot of steps and usually a lot of people.
Knowing me you could have guessed from another galaxy: my most useful tools as a designer are my knitting notebook and good pens. Not knitting needles, they come second. Why? Because without a way to put my ideas on paper and keep them safe, I would not have anything to knit! It’s as simple as that!
Writing a pattern is far from being the final stage before publishing it. Publishing a new pattern involves a crazy tons of work. Which I’m currently postponing to write this article, because you know, sometimes procrastination is the best thing in the whole world, am I right? Right now, I’m currently working through the final stages of publishing my newest knitting pattern, the Hanging Gardens Cowl. It should be live tomorrow so I’ll better get going and finish to write these blog posts and make these photo collages. I can’t wait to show you all about it!
On December 8th, I participated at my first yarn fair as an exhibitor! Let me tell you that I had a blast! A bit more on that and what I could not resist to buy 😉
I wish you a really beautiful and happy new year, filled with joy, health, and obviously a lot of knitting! I sincerely hope this year was as amazing to you than to me and I can’t wait to share the new one with you! ✨
